TEHRAN-The neighborhood of Iran and Turkey is considered a strategic cover for promoting economic, tourism and people-to-people collaborations, said Abdurrahim Dusak, a representative of Sanli Urfa of Turkey .

During his visit to Tabriz, East Azarbaijan province, on Thursday, he pointed to the long history of Iran-Turkey ties as well as cultural, historical and religious commonalities, CHTN reported.
He emphasized that cooperation in health tourism can pave the grounds for well-being, development and peace in the region. 

Dusak said that Iran and Turkey are two brother nations which live in a common geography. 
He said that geographic proximity has created natural link between two nations. 

This stable neighborhood has played an important role in boosting cultural and economic ties between the two nations, he added.
Dusak continued : “Iran is an entrance gate for Turkey to Asia and Turkey is an access route for Iran to Europe. This situation can be considered a basis for new cooperation in tourism, trade and health sectors.”

He said: “The level of economic ties is less than real capacity of both nations. We need to increase cooperation in various fields such as health tourism, handicrafts, and clean energies.”
Pointing to continuation of cooperation in new energies, he said:  “Significant interactions have been made between Iran and Turkey regarding the solar energy. We intend to boost these cooperations.”

“As a member of Muslims Commission of Turkey's parliament, I believe that Iran and Turkey should try to confront Islamophobia and boost ties between Muslim nations. With promotion of cooperation in tourism, cultural and economic sectors, we can present a realistic image of Muslim world and increase the cooperation between Muslim nations.”
Dusak called promotion of provincial ties between two countries a must and said: “We are ready to hold numerous sessions between representatives of border provinces of two countries to promote tourism and medical tourism sectors with more precise planning.”

He reiterated that promotion of tourism means promotion of peace. Any step taken for familiarizing both nations and boosting economic cooperation and health tourism , is a bridge for mutual friendship, welfare and understanding of peoples of Iran and Turkey, he added.
